PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma

PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) mesotherapy is a new and very promising anti-aging method. By using our body’s own cells we can achieve regeneration and gradual improvement of our skin’s appearance. The skin becomes firmer, radiant, more youthful and with better overall structure.

What is PRP?
PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma is a concentrated platelet solution in a very small sample of blood plasma. Platelets are a known source of growth factors, which are substances that promote cell regeneration and tissue restoration.

PRP preparation
This is a relatively simple procedure. Firstly, a small blood sample is taken from the patient. The sample is placed in a centrifuge for about 10 minutes which separates the PRP from the rest of the blood components. After that, the PRP is ready to use.

Indications
PRP mesotherapy is suitable for tissue regeneration thanks to the high concentration of growth factors. This method can be used in cosmetic medicine in various situations, such as;

  • Anti-aging for face, neck, décolletage and hands
  • Reduction of fine wrinkles
  • Acne scars and stretch marks
  • Hair loss, both in women and in men

PRP can be used alone or combined with other cosmetic treatments;
  • PRP Mesotherapy
  • PRP and Microneedling
  • PRP and Fractional laser

When do I see the results of the treatment? How many sessions are required?
The effect of the PRP treatment is becoming apparent after three to four weeks and will continue to improve during the following months. The number of sessions needed depends on the individual treatment goals and differs from patient to patient. In each case, we examine and analyze the situation separately and propose a suitable treatment protocol.

Are there any side effects?
Autologous Platelet Rich Plasma is considered to be extremely safe and well tolerated. There is no risk of any allergic reaction or intolerance since we are using an ingredient of our own body. Depending on the applying method, minimal bruising, redness and swelling for 1-2 days may occur. When combined with Fractional Laser, PRP considerably reduces the downtime period.
